Invited Artists: Trio Aristos

 

Jakob Kullberg studied in Amsterdam, London, Vienna, Zagreb and Copenhagen from 1998-2006.

He combines solo engagements and chamber music performances with that of teaching at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
Winner and prize winner at international and national solo and chamber music competitions.

Has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in most European countries as well as in the USA and Canada.

Has given Masterclasses at the Oxford Cello School in 2003 and 2004 and in 2007 at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Weimar.

He enjoys a unique working relationship with Danish composer Per Nørgård. Presently the two are working on Nørgård’s 4th Sonata for Solo Cello which is to be premiered at the Aldeburgh Festival in June 2007.

Has worked as principal cellist for Het Residentsie Orkest, Den Haag, Holland in 2004.

Member of the award winning Kroger Quartet since 2001.
Founding member of Trio Aristos since 2004.
