Trio Aristos

Szymon Krzeszowiec, violin

Alexander Øllgaard, viola

Jakob Kullberg, cello

The trio had its' debut at the 13th International Strings Only Festival in Croatia and ever since then it has recieved great critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike.

Since winning the coveted 1st Prize in the Danish Radio Broadcasting Company's bi-anual chamber music competition in January 2006 Aristos has become an increasingly sought after chamber ensemble.

Each of the players have proven themselves internationally not only as chamber musicians but also as soloists and are especially drawn to the trio medium due to the necessary flux between individuality and conformity.

Trio Aristos has an equal interest and respect for the 'classical' and the 'contemporary' repertoire.

It works closely with the famous Danish composer Per Nørgård who has composed for the members of the trio.

Trio Aristos has taken its name after the philosofical work 'The Aristos' by the great British author John Fowles.

The word 'Aristos' as coined by Fowles suggests the individual's striving for the achievement of the best in a given situation. Something which is inherent in us all.
